I stayed long enough to help get the kids' pizza handed out but since I was the only mom there. I left as soon as Will would allow me.

Zoo Day
Will's school had an end of year party that included a petting zoo in the parking lot and a pizza party. Being the clean freak/germ-a-phobe that I am, I am not a fan of petting animals. In the past, Will hasn't been a fan either but has been getting braver at each opportunity. I keep convincing myself that is a good thing. Therefore, I was very proud of him when he pet each animal and even rode a donkey. At least I think it was a donkey. A mule maybe? Of course he insisted it was a horse! Either way, I'm glad I got to be there to witness this...
I stayed long enough to help get the kids' pizza handed out but since I was the only mom there. I left as soon as Will would allow me.

1-2-3 Let's Jump!
Ike now weighs 14lbs 7 oz and is 27" long! He is wearing clothes at almost 5 months that Will wore at 9 months. He is tries so hard to sit up when we lay him down and when we pull him up to a seated position he insists on standing. He's our little strong man! Both Will and Oli have loved the jumper (Oli still jumps and spins like a wild man in it) so I thought I would let Ike give it a try. Sure enough, he liked it (for a few minutes anyway)!
Doctor & Date
Last week, Will woke up with terribly red and watery eyes. He had also been dealing with a runny nose for the past few days, so I decided it was time for a trip to the doctor.
It just so happened that Grammy and Poppy were already keeping the boys so that I could go to an early morning meeting so Will and I ventured out to the doctor alone afterward.
First let me say I can't believe how easy it is to only have one child! Ha! Why did I ever think it was a chore to take only Will on errands?
Turns out that he was just suffering from "allergy eyes", thank goodness (I was terrified we had our first-ever case of pink eye!). I told him I would treat him to a lunch date at the restaurant of his choice and he chose... the Wendy's right next door to the doctor's office. At least it was convenient!
I honestly cannot remember the last time I had alone time with just Will. Before the two little boys came into our world with a flash, Will was my constant companion and sidekick. Where I was, he was. Whether that was work, home or the grocery store. He is such a great kid and growing up one blink at a time. He is smart, funny, kind and an excellent big brother. He vocabulary is just a big as his imagination and he always keeps us guessing.

I'm so proud you're mine Will Overstreet! I love you like crazy crazy!

Boo is 2!
We celebrated Oli's second birthday (on his actual birthday, April 22) and look who loved being the center of attention!
The difference in our Boo-boy from last year to this year is astounding! He amazes us more each day!
His crawling is still a mix and match of army crawling and alternating hands and knees so we chose a camo/army theme for our little GI Joe (If you'll notice, all of the army guys are belly crawling!) We even found a camo romper that says "Major Hunk" and it was too hilarious not to buy.
Of course, we had to take it off so this boy could tear into his red velvet cupcake!
Next up...PRESENTS! Will and Daddy helped open gifts and read cards.
Our gift to Oli was a two seat Radio Flyer wagon for trips to the park. We have already tested it out and he loves it :)
To top off the night, after everyone left, Oli suddenly decided to climb the stairs for the first time! He went from the bottom step all the way to the second floor like he's been climbing stairs for years! Of course, there is now a baby gate at the bottom of the steps...
Happy Birthday to our cherished Oli-boy!

Monday Morning
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and three still-sleepy boys gathered in Mommy and Daddy's bed before breakfast. Love these days.
Attitude
Remember how I mentioned Oli is starting to express his opinion with a little attitude? Well, here is exhibit A...This is what happens when you do not feed our little Ukrainian as quickly as he would like:
Good thing for him he is cute!
All About Ike
I really like the "What's New With Boo?" posts because it's a quick and easy way for me to record Oli's milestones. So, I think it's time to do the same for Ike with "All About Ike"...
1. Ike is a great nighttime sleeper (not bad during the day too but we are usually on-the-go making it harder for him). We put him down at 7:30 PM, wake him for a bottle at 9:45 PM, and he sleeps until 6:45 or 7:00 AM.
2. He has rolled from back to belly. I missed the actual rolling but realized he did it when I looked over and saw this:
3. We started him on cereal and he is NOT a fan! We started with rice cereal and after a week of him fussing during every feeding, we tried oatmeal. He tolerated oatmeal better, but still gagged. So today I moved on and fed him squash, which he handled slightly better than cereal. Fingers crossed for an improved response as the food gets more flavorful.
4. He pulls at his shirt and sucks his thumb, in true Overstreet fashion. All three of my boys are thumb suckers and I'm good with it. (Will pulls at his ear while sucking his thumb and Oli sucks his thumb and rolls to his side.)
Our littlest guy is growing each day. He has just turned four months old and is a MUCH more content baby. Switching him to Neocate, an amino acid based formula, has been a sanity saver for all of us. Now he gives the sweetest grins and coos!
